Every two years I immerse myself in the international world of sports competition. I watch any event I can. I read the newspaper's special insert section daily. I check online. I love the hype and the nationalism and the costumes and the bad rivalries. I become obsessed.
Now I have discovered the X Games, Olympics' younger and better-looking rebelious brother. I knew he was the one when I got to witness Janna Mayan's first ever four-peat gold medal in women's slopestyle. EXCITEMENT!!! (Makes it worth it that I woke up at eight thirty this morning.)
