"Our school system was great for the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, when the United States was an industrialized country. Now our country is all about global telecommunications and biotechnology, which is not at all addressed in the classrooms. We need to teach how to find five solutions to a problem and assess which is the most elegant, the cheapest, the most likely to be popular."
